Results:
Day 1: Uruguay +.5 vs France -140 (1.4/1) W 1-0 +1.0
Day 2: Greece vs Korea U2.5 -220 (2.2/1) W 2-0 +2.0
Day 3: Germany -0.5 -200 over Aussie (2/1) W 3-0 +3.0
Day 4: Netherlands -0.5 -185 over Denmark (1.85/1) W 4-0 +4.0
Day 5: Brazil -2.0 -143 over N Korea (1.43/1) L 4-1 +2.57

Post your best bet and your soccer ladies here. I tally them up with the rest of the soccer forum, and put our collective "best bet" to work! Let's get back on the right track tomorrow!

My best bet for tomorrow:
South Africa vs Uruguay U2.5 -204 (2.04/1)
Reasoning: France/Mexico, the other two teams in Group A, are the obvious faves to move past the group stage. They do not play tomorrow, Day 6, but rather, on Day 7. S Africa and Uruguay both got ties and one point out of the more established squads in their game 1s. Both teams will be playing defensively again because a loss all but puts them out of the cup. My prediction: Uruguay 1-0.

We also have a vote in the day 5 thread from cocktails on Spain -0.5 over Swiss -308 (3.08/1)

Sorry for the cropped picture. I don't know how to work these damn computers!

My best bet for tomorrow is Honduras +1 -140 with a local (similar prices with offshore books as I am typing).

I feel this will be another low-scoring and tightly-contested affair. I wouldn't be surprised to see a draw. I do not see Chile winning by more than 1 here.

I also lean towards Spain -1.5 and OVER in that game and South Africa PK.

Cheers!

Got a push today. Things are getting tight fellas!

My best bet for tomorrow is France and Mexico UNDER 2 -130 with a local (similar price can be found online)

I believe France will play for a draw and come out busting against South Africa to get a possible 5 points and a spot in the 2nd round.

Mexico will want to get at least a point here, if not the full 3 points but whether they can make it happen is another matter. They certainly didn't impress anyone against South Africa.

I expect another 0-0 stalemate or possibly a 1-0 by either side here. 2-0 or 1-1 and I will push. I do not expect to see 3 goals in this game tomorrow.

Cheers!

Another push today, better than a kick in the nuts, as they like to say.

Are we not continuing with this daily thread anymore Cowboy? I think it provides an excellent venue for all posters to post their best bet of the day in 1 thread, instead of scouring through multiple threads, especially considering the time differences between North America and South Africa...I typically only have a bit of time in the morning to put my plays in before going to the office.

Without further ado, my best bet for the tomorrow is Slovakia +0.5 -130 (with a local, similar price can be found offshore)

I feel that Slovenia will give all that the U.S can handle tomorrow. It goes without saying that both teams need to earn at least a point in this game but Slovenia is playing England next and the U.S will entertain Algeria. I think Slovenia will deploy a tight defensive formation and they won't hesitate to counter-attack.

I see a draw written all over for this and will be glad to get Slovakia +0.5.

Cheers!

Guess I will continue to post my play of the day here. Picked up a W with Slovakia toughing out a draw with the States today. I don't agree with the disallowed goal but you know what they say...you have to be lucky to be good and you have to be good to be lucky.

For tomorrow, my best bet is Denmark PK -140 with a local (similar price can be found online).

Denmark hung tough with the Netherlands in the first game while Cameroon also lost to Japan in a tight game. I am more impressed with the Danes' cohesive play than the Indomitable Lions' focus on individuals, most notably Samuel E'too. I don't think he is a happy camper and overall i have not been overwhelmed by the African teams' play so far.

I do not see the Danes losing this game and at worst with a draw, I will get my coins back. The Danes is still very much alive for a spot in the next round and so is Cameroon, mind you but I feel the team with a more balanced attack and a solid D will come out on top.

Good luck my friends!

Full credit to the Indomitable Lions but the better team won today.

For tomorrow, my best bet is Slovakia +0.5 -140 with a local (similar or better price can be found online)

Both Slovakia and Paraguay drew with their opponents in their first match-up. Paraguay looked a tad more impressive, holding the defending champ at bay while Slovakia hung on for 1 point against minnow New Zealand.

I am leaning towards Slovakia for this game because I think Paraguay may look ahead towards the last game against New Zealand. The 2 teams are fairly even on both sides of the ball and neither team can ill afford to lose any more ground, considering Italy is almost a shoo-in to beat New Zealand.

I won't be surprised to see a 0-0 or 1-1 game here and will be glad to grab Slovakia plus the spread.

Good luck my friends!

Damn, maybe I should not have posted pictures of these babes and concentrated on handicapping the games LOL.

Full credit to the Paraguayans, they looked very slick and smooth and as soon as i saw their formation 4-3-3, I knew I would be in for a long match.

Moving on and my best bet for tomorrow is Spain and Honduras UNDER 3 -130 with a local (similar or better price can be found online)

In a nutshell, i believe Spain will win this game but I do not think there will be more than 3 goals scored. 1-0 and 2-0 would suit me fine and even with 2-1 or 3-0, I would get a push. I think Spain simply just needs to win to right the ship. Honduras hung tough with a very good Chilean squad, will they stack the box and frustrate the Spaniards like the Swiss did or will they indulge in open plays with flair and got burnt in the process? My bet is the former and that's my best bet for tomorrow.

That's more like it fellas.

For tomorrow, my best bet is South Koreans PK -135 with a local (similar or better price can be found online)

Simply put folks, through 2 games (I know it's a small sample size but we do what we can), I believe the Koreans are tactically stronger and more fundamentally sound than the Nigerians and more importantly they have shown more hearts as well. The Nigerians are no doubt a talented bunch but individual skills only bring you so far in big tourney and all the Africans have greatly disappointed. They frequently look disjointed and undisciplined and the Nigerians are no exceptions.

Win and South Korea will be in, provided Greece does not beat Argentina by a bigger margin (which is highly unlikely). Psychologically, the South Koreans also wants to show the world the North Korean drubbing earlier today is just an anomaly. I know the 2 countries don't see eyes to eyes but they still have the same bloodline and heritage.

I believe the South Koreans will take care of business tomorrow, just like they did to Greece. I don't normally wager big in the round-robin but will do so tomorrow with 5 units.

Cheers!

I am with you 1000% on the analysis and the wager.
I have already gotten down for double units, and may double this yet again.
This is my top play for the 3rd round of games.
